How can schools get involved in Live Life Well @ School?

Kids playing ball games

A series of registered Live Life Well @ School professional learning courses are now available to NSW public schools (K-6). Using the Health Promoting Schools Framework, the courses support the development of whole of school strategies that foster healthy eating and physical activity to improve the health and wellbeing of students and the school community. Live Life Well @ School professional learning is available for all teachers in all sectors through online learning modules (all sectors), in-school consultancy support (AISNSW) and whole-school projects (AISNSW).

Also, Health Promotion Officers from your Local Health District are available to work closely with schools to help them plan and implement practices that promote physical activity and healthy eating. Health promotion officers can introduce teachers to a range of practical tools, resources and ideas to support physical activity and healthy eating within the PDHPE syllabus and across the whole school context. Contact your Local Health District to discuss ways that you can implement healthy eating and physical activity strategies at your school.

Teachers in public schools interested in the Live Life Well @ School courses should register their interest by contacting LLWS@det.nsw.edu.au

Teachers in Association of Independent Schools NSW schools may wish to go to the AISNSW Live Life Well @ School website page: https://www.aisnsw.edu.au/live-life-well/Pages/Default.aspx. Contact can also be made with Katrina Mostyn, Education Consultant: PDHPE and Student Wellbeing (kmostyn@aisnsw.edu.au).
