How do I register for a K-6 Physical Activity and Health Conference? 

One day professional learning conferences are being delivered to support the teaching of PDHPE and sport in Primary Schools. The conference focus is on implementing whole school strategies for promoting physical activity and healthy eating.

The K-6 Physical Activity and Health Conferences are a collaborative venture between the Australian Council for Health, Physical Education and Recreation (ACHPER), Live Life Well @ School, the Department of Education School Sport Unit and Local Health Districts.

The conference is available to all NSW primary school teachers and PDHPE teachers who work in primary school settings.

Conferences offer a variety of workshop sessions and keynote presentations related to physical activity and healthy eating. The workshops available include:

  • Teaching dance
  • Creating healthy food environments
  • Encouraging physical activity
  • Fundamental Movement Skills
  • Games with minimal equipment
  • Gymnastics
  • Inclusive physical activity
  • Linking the school kitchen garden with the curriculum
  • Literacy and numeracy through games
  • Programming for PDHPE
  • School sport organisation
  • Tabloids/Grids
